I served as a board member for the Bethlehem Triathlon Club, coordinating their membership. Most recently, I was a T-ball coach for National Little League.
Other details you would like to share:
I grew up in Bethlehem and recently returned to raise my son. I have remained connected to the community over the years, through local clubs and organizations. I’m thrilled to be back at my original library – where I have many fond memories of checking out stacks of books and spending hours doing puzzles as a kid!
What do you consider your most meaningful career accomplishment?
I am proud of the work I have done shepherding policy across the finish line. I’ve worked on a wide range of issues over the past 12 years and don’t shy away from challenging issues. I was recently recognized in City and State’s 40 under 40.

What skills do you bring to your tenure on the board?
I have over a decade of experience in government service and non-profit work. I know how public institutions are funded, how decisions are made, and how to navigate complex processes with multiple stakeholders. I understand consensus building and understand how to sustain an institution’s mission.
What are your goals as a library board member?
My goal is to support a thriving library that will continue to serve the generations ahead. I want to ensure the library has what it needs to succeed, and likewise, that the community feels their needs are met.

How does a public library best serve its community?
Libraries are critical third spaces. They belong to everyone, cost nothing to enter, and are community hubs. Libraries are for everyone, and everyone should see themselves represented there- in both its collection and its programming.
What are the most important issues facing public libraries today?
Libraries are critical public institutions where all can gather. They must remain transparent, inclusive, and free from censorship. Further, as AI is on the rise, libraries must be a place to seek reliable, trusted information. Libraries must continue to be adequately funded and a welcoming community center.
How are public libraries changing? How can a library board expedite these changes?
Libraries face different demands in this era. Libraries are becoming lending hubs for experiences and hands-on learning for the community. The Board must ensure spaces and services meet the whole community’s needs, and be ready to support that growth.
How have libraries influenced your life?
I grew up in Bethlehem and spent hours at the library as a kid. The library has provided me with a place to learn, a place to find comfort, and a place to solve problems. And now as a parent, watching my son discover the same joy further solidifies my desire to keep the library as a pillar of our community.

What do you like best about Bethlehem Public Library?
The Bethlehem Public Library is absolutely phenomenal. The programming, children’s area, resources, and expansive hours make it a wonderful resource. I love spending time browsing for books and reading about upcoming events.
What is your vision for the future of this library?
A library that continues to evolve and grow, in a way that best serves the needs of the community. I value the input from the community in deciding what that might look like in the years ahead.
